Center for the Study of Environmental Endocrine Effects
CSEEE began operating as a subsidiary unit of Federal Focus in 1995. Its basic mission was to provide the public with objective and unbiased information on the state of scientific knowledge regarding issues of "endocrine disruption," and to conduct, or sponsor the conduct of, scientific research in that area. The core of CSEEE was an academic science panel made up of two scientists who are prominent in toxicology and pharmacology relating to the human endocrine system (Drs. William Waddell and John Thomas), and two in wildlife toxicology (Drs. William Benson and Keith Solomon).
CSEEE created a Website (currently inactive) which contained the Center's late-1995 state-of-the-science overview, references to subsequent significant scientific research findings and critical commentaries, significant governmental policy developments, and information about the Center.
